The "faith-hope-love" short film trilogy will finally be completed soon!
Part one: "Da vi mødtes" (The Day We Met) is currently in post-production with a planned release date in January 2018. We shot over 6 days in late July/early August and the finished film will be around 23 minutes. It stars Danish actors, Laura Drasbæk and Johannes Nymark.
Part two: “Et gensyn” (“Second Encounters”) screened October 2015 at the Thessaloniki International Short Film Festival. It was the first film to be produced from the trilogy.
Part three: "Kærester?" (Sweethearts?) is in early pre-production and we plan to shoot over Easter in 2018. The film will hopefully be completed by August/September. Visit etgensyn.wbprods.com for more info.
I was born in Hong Kong to a Chinese mother and a Danish father. I was three months premature and given a 1% chance of survival. With odds like that, I tell myself nothing else in life will ever be as bad...
At four months old, I took my first plane ride and moved to Denmark where I was raised in a tiny village in the countryside and at age 19 I left for London where I spent five years, getting a bachelor's degree in business and doing acting - my first foray into film.
In 2002 I arrived in sunny Los Angeles and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. It was by chance I discovered writing and directing and soon there was no turning back.
I plunged myself full-time into writing and directing - doing both theatre and film - as well as editing and producing. My thesis film “Alice Rose” won best art film at the 2006 FAIF film festival. I have since learnt to send my films to festivals outside of a 300 mile radius. My dream is to screen at Sundance one day.
I started writing my first feature, a psychological thriller called “Lapse”, in 2004 based on a very vivid nightmare I had. After graduating film school in 2006, I started pre-production, and principal photography took place September-October 2007. With my US visa expiring, I returned to my home country of Denmark to finish the film.
In July 2011 I graduated from the London Film School with a MA in Screenwriting. In January 2016 I obtained my MA in Film and Media Studies from Copenhagen University. In 2012 I participated in the Four Corners Script Development Programme (four4corners.com). I finished my first Danish short film (“Queen For A Day”) in 2013, and my second one in 2014 (“Second Encounters”, which is part of a trilogy) and in 2013 I also participated in Torino Film Lab’s “Adaptlab”, where I adapted the novel “Buster’s Ears” by Maria Ernestam for the screen.
I reside in beautiful Copenhagen where I enjoy the cooler weather (sort of).

Apart from understanding the theory and practice of screenwriting and filmmaking, I am also proficient in the principles of method acting (having trained and worked as an actor for 5 years) which gives me the best of both worlds: I understand an actor’s process and relate to them, but at the same time I have a very sharp eye for scene analysis and what makes a piece of storytelling come alive!
